What is dyspnoea?
being unable to breathe easily for the level of activity

increased SOB on lying

sudden SOB at night

rapid breathing

ventilation in excess of metabolic requirements

What is a wheeze?
narrowing of airways producing a whistling or sighing noise
What are the main symptoms of a wheeze?
tightness, particularly on expiration
breathlessness
When is a cough abnormal?
if persistent, painful or productive of sputum
What is the primary function of the respiratory system?
supply the body with oxygen taken from the atmospheric air and to dispose of carbon dioxide AKA respiration
