What is weather?
Weather is what’s happening at a certain place or time

Weather is whats happening in the atmosphere at a certain place and time
What is climate ?
Climate is the weather pattern over a long period of time
What is air pressure?
Air pressure is the weight of the air pushing down
Why does hot air rise?
It rises because hot air is less dense than cold air
What is an anemometer?
An instrument that measures wind speed
What is a barometer ?
A barometer is a instrument that measures air pressure
What is the greenhouse effect?
When Co2 and methane get stuck in the atmosphere not letting the heat out
What can we do to prevent global climate change ?
Reduce Reuse Recycle Walk or bike Use less electricity Turn down the thermostat etc.
What does the prefex nimbo or nimbus mean?
It means the cloud can produce precipitation
How are clouds made?
By water vapor cooling and condensing on to small dust particles forming clouds.
What are some characteristics of stratus clouds?
Take up the whole, sky block sunlight, light rain
How is hail made?
By ice crystals going out of a cloud then being blown back up by the wind this continous until they are to heavy and fall to the ground.
What are the steps of the water cycle?
- evaporation and transpiration
- codensation
- precipitation
- collection
What is humidity?
the amount of water vapor in the air
