UK sport is the lead agency that aims to ensure the UK can bid to host major sporting events
they have a flagship programme called the gold event series which works to bring 100 major international sporting events to the UK during the 10 years it is operating
developed to help NGB’s attract and host important events

prior to bidding - UK sport work with the sport and host location (in UK) to draw up a detailed business plan and budget
when UK sport agrees a financial award to support an event bid, it continues to work with the NGB involved throughout the event planning and delivery
