Card- Easily bent and cut, stretched, scored, squashed
Plastics- Thermosoftening plastic, line bender, strip heater heats line to be bent, put in a jig to form accurate angles
Metals- Folding bars, fold over a shape. Bending machine, almost like a guillotine but doesn’t cut

Q

What is lithography?

A

A type of printing
Commercial on paper and card
Works as oil (treated plate) and water don’t mix
1) Treated plates, normally aluminium are photographically exposed (become like an oil plate)
2) Unexposed parts (image) attract ink and reject water
3) Exposed reject ink and attract water
CMYK stands for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black
Usually offset, made tight way around so easier to check
Then print onto a plain printer to reverse the image
