A

Grandfather Clause: A slave had a grandfather that had, had the right to vote. Of course since no slaves could vote before the !5th amendment took place, it was all bologna.
Poll Taxes: charging a fee to vote, most slaves wouldn’t vote because they didn’t have the money to pay for the fee.
Literacy tests: Individuals that wanted to vote had to take a test to see how much they knew.
