explain the operation of the shredder

A

the shredder consist of a shredding chamber with a series of intermeshing cutters, a speed reduction gearbox and hydraulic drive motor.
The hooks along with the counter rotation of the shafts produce a shearing effect, which pulls the garbage into the chamber and shreds it

the horizontal compactor forms the first stage of compaction and consists of the compactor chamber, ram head assembly and two hydraulic cylinders

A

The hydraulic system provides the main motive power for the shredder drive motor and foe the cyclinders, which operate the horizontal and vertical compactors, pressure plate and container loading systems.
the system is designed to run on Ox40 but OM33 maybe used

what is the start routine for the hydraulic system?

A
  • stop/start switch to be operated
  • hydraulic pump runs up and discharges 140 bar
    -pressured oil flows around the system and up to the 5 solenoid operated control valves
  • these valves are closes, ad compacting hasn’t started
  • therefore the system runs off load through the bypass valve diverting the system to the tank
  • to start the compacting process, start process button is pressed
  • the system logic will send a control signal to operate one of the solenoid control valves, operating the shredder, vertical, horizontal compactor or pressure plate
  • the bypass valves close simultaneously, stopping the floe of oil back to the tank
  • the system operation is dependent on control system logic operating the solenoid control valves in sequence

what is the process of two man operation

A
  • two persons are required to manual at operate the actuators
  • the first person is to press one of the two manual push buttons on the side of the relevant soliend
  • the second person is to now operate the manual push button on the side of the bypass valve
  • the actuators will now move
  • to stop movement the button on the bypass valve is released first, followed by the control valve

A solenoid valve that is fitted to the rear of the machine to isolate the LP air supply to the sensors when the machine is isolated or when the top hopper is open

  • low level -RED - low level of hydraulic fluid in the tank
