1) Edward I attacked Scottish flanks using cavalry.
2) Cavalry charged between archers
3) Edward deployed 5000 longbow men which left gaps in pike men.

How did the battle of Agincourt unfold?

A

1) Henry V advanced as French wouldn’t, into longbow range and 1400 arrows landed every second.
2) The French charged and failed churning the ground up more.
3) A stampede was caused in an infantry attack as the armour weighed 30kg and allied archers used daggers as there was a risk of killing their own men.
4) French soldiers snuck to the baggage train and all prisoners were killed.

A

Composition- English outnumbered 2:1 and had 7000 longbow men.
Position- Trees protected Henry’s flanks; the woods funnelled the French; the archers had wooden stakes in front to prevent cavalry charge.
