  3. Excrete in stool(7-14d) after onset clinical illness & diagnostic acute HAV inf
  4. No carrier state
  5. Inactivate attenuate vac( safe, immunogenic & effective)

  • Prodromal sym systemic(low grade fever, anorexia, nausea, vomiting)
  • Fatigue, malaise, arthralgias, myalgias, headache, pharyngitis, cough
  • Dark urine & clay color stool(1-5d b4 onset)
  • Liver enlarged & tender & asso w ruq pain & discomfort
