List general vulval care advice:

- Soap - avoid. Use simple emollients.
- Pants: avoid tight-fitting and synthetic fabircs.
- STI screening

Outline investigations and management of lichen sclerosus
A
Investigations:
- Vulval biopsy
- Swab for infections
- Screen for thyroid disease
Management:
- Provide information on condition + written info:
- Risk of SCC: report bleeding, thickening, lump
- Clobetasol proprionate 0.05%: daily for 1 month; alternative days for 1 month; twice weekly for 1 month.
- Follow-up: after 3 months, then annually if stable.
- Treat secondary infections: antifungal, antibacterial.
- General vulval care advice
- Topical emollient
- Vaginal lubricant
- Refer to dermatologist if severe.
