- Good for farming because volcanic ash increases soil fertility
- Increases tourism - better economy
- Precious metals can be found
Why don’t people live near volcanoes?
- They destroy homes and lives
- Pyroclastic flow causes acid rain
- Ash can disrupt travel and flight
