What happens in a sentence with a group 1 conjunction?
No change in the words order of either sentences.
What happens in a sentence with a group 2 conjunction?
The first verb in the second sentence moves next to the conjunction.
What happens in a sentence with a group 3 conjunction?
The first verb in the second sentence moves to the end of the sentence.
What do you do when you’re joining two sentences, starting with the conjunction?
Don’t worry about the group of the conjunction. Decide which sentence must go first based on the meaning of each. Move the 1st verb in sentence one to the end of that sentence and the first verb in sentence two to the beginning of that sentence.
E.g: Conjunction _________ verb, verb ________.
One exception: AL
For ‘al’ the first verb sticks to the conjunction at the beginning.
