annoys others by correcting small errors, caring too much about minor details
Ex: At the risk of sounding pedantic, I refrained from correcting my classmates errors
Philistine
one who lacks artistic and/or cultural sophistication
Ex: he considered anyone who wasn’t at least somewhat familiar with the works of Taylor Swift to be a philistine and therefore unworthy of her attention
