neuro s/s start: ms changes, parenthesis, hyperesthesias
vitamin D
absorbed via sunlight
need 10 min 3x’s per week. can lead to tickets (bow legged, soft bones)
helps body use CA
s/s: bone/muscle pain
increased risk cancer, ms changes in elderly, increased risk cardiac death
vitamin A
can occur with alcoholism
increased need in sick children
can occur with small bowel obstruction, vegans, fat malabsorption issues, ibd, cholestasis, small children
symptoms of vit a deficiency
dry eyes eye inflam rough dry skin growth retardation higher risk for uti/tri night blindness
