Q
What are the common causes of:
Mono ocular loss
Bitemporal hemianopia
Homonymous hemianopia
HH with macular sparing
Central loss
Peripheral loss
A
Mono ocular loss - Optic nerve damage (MS, tumour, optic neuritis, orbital cellulitis) increase in pressure eg glaucoma.
Bitemporal hemianopia - Pituitary tumour, craniopharyngoma, meningioma
Homonymous hemianopia - CVA, space occupying lesion
HH with macular sparing - Occipital cortex lesion
Central loss - Cataract, ARMD
Peripheral loss - Glaucoma, retinitis pigmentosa
