“Combs” a present sounding word, it’s taking her mind off of it.

“Miraculously” sounds surprised.
Their waists, they can cope with such a job and still be so slim.

Not guzzling but giving “
“Fang” - imagery he thinks it’s hurting her. It is evil and poisonous her
But then he realises that it’s not hurting her.
“The hospital smell”
Everyone knows it
It draws attention to the poem
It’s a descriptive short sentence.
“Not smaller, leaving behind only
Books that will not be read
And fruitless fruits”
He is realising he is soon going to have to leave.
Oxymoron and alliteration of “f”
