You are flying at 4000ft altitude in uncontrolled airspace. What is the minimum visibility for you to fly there?
Nothing as it is uncontrolled airspace
What is the visibility required to maintain VMC?
5km in flight visibility
1000ft below or above cloud
1.5km horizontally clear of cloud
When is night time in gliding
30 mins after sunset to 30 mins before sunrise
What are the rules for cloud flying?
No glider should enter cloud within a radius of 5nm from any gliding site except from at least 200ft from below the lowest part of the cloud.
Occupants must be wearing a serviceable parachute and be instructed in its use.
Outside of controlled airspace, what is the primary rule for altitude in IFR flight
Must be at least 1000ft above the highest object within 5nm of the aircraft. This is known as the safety height
