The view is of life as a narrative, and the journey towards eudaimonia spans from birth until the point of death.

The idea that in the middle of two vices at opposing ends of the spectrum, a virtue lies in the middle.
Some believe that moderation is a core attribute virtue.
What is phronesis?
A Greek concept which is the central virtue required to know virtuous action. It is similar to practical wisdom and prudence.
What is Akrasia?
Another Greek concept meaning ‘weakness of will’.

Macintyre
Macintyre believed in a theory of moral fragmentation since the period of enlightenment.
His partial solution lies in a unified life narrative which is based on engagement and practices which cultivate virtues, and where internal goods are generated.
The concept of moral fragmentation is that there is no agreed consensus formally issued in healthcare including in issues do healthcare justice.
There are fragmented concepts of illness and disease, there are competing George’s regarding the philosophy of health and what health is, and there are differing views on personal responsibility for health.
What are some examples of professional virtues?
Diligence, kindness, adaptability, modesty, team work.
