Can cause Ramsay-Hunt syndrome and ophthalmic herpes

What si the gold-standard for diagnosing Hep B infection?
Serum HBsAg
Chronic infection is persistence of HBsAg > 6 mo
What antibody does the HBV vaccine produce?
Anti-HBs
How to differentiate acute and chronic Hep B infection?
IgM anti-HBc will be present in acute but not chronic.
What does presence of Anti-HBs indicate?
HBV Vaccination or previous cleared infection
