➊ Acute wheezy illness caused by a viral infection
➋ RSV or Rhinovirus
➌ Asthma
→ • Presenting < 3yrs
• No atopic hx
• Only occurs during viral infections – Asthma is also triggered by viral infections, but it has many other triggers as well

How does it present?
How is it managed?
A
➊ Evidence of viral infection preceding onset of symptoms:
• Expiratory wheeze
• SOB
• Signs of respiratory distress
➋ Symptomatic relief, and similar to that in acute asthma
