- HEADache, malaise
- NEZ-stuffy, sneezy, and runny nose
- MOUTH-coughy, sore throat
- Myalgias
- Mild Fever

A
- **No Antibiotics
- Educate-peaks 1-3d, resolve 7-10d, cough persist days to wks
- Rest
- Hydration
- Prevention-frequent handwashing, surface disinfect
- Symptomatic relief (see Q)

What are medical options for symptomatic relief?
A
- Analgesic-acteaminophen, NSAIDs
- *Cough suppression-dextromethorphan, codeine
- Reactive airways-bronchodilators, ICS
- *Congestion-antihistamines, decongestants
- not in kids

A
- Neuraminidase inhibitors-zanaMIVIR, OseltaMIVIR
- Adamantanes-amantadine, rimantadine (no trials in preg)
