What is the nature of the resurrection?

A

The Resurrection will be universal; all do not have eternal life, but all have eternal existence. All persons will be resurrected, the just to eternal life, the unjust to eternal condemnation. All will be raised, but not all at the same time.

What is the resurrection of believers?

A

The Resurrection of the Church occurs at the Coming of Jesus, immediately prior to the Rapture. (1 Thess. 4:16) This is called the “First Resurrection.” 1 Thess. 4:16 Rev. 20:6

  1. It will be a literal bodily resurrection. Jn. 20:26-28
  2. The resurrection body will be God given. 1 Cor. 15:38
  3. The believer’s resurrection body will be immortal and incorruptible 1 Cor. 15:42
  4. The resurrection body will be a celestial body. 1 Cor. 15:40
  5. The resurrection body will be a powerful body. 1 Cor. 15:43
  6. The resurrection body will be a glorious body. 1 Cor. 15:43
