What is explained Under section 4 of the VRA 2002?

A

A victim is;

  1. A person whom an offence is committed by another person
  2. A person who through or by means of an offence committed by another person suffers physical injury or loss of or damage to property
  3. A parent or legal guardian of a child or a young person who is a victim unless they are charged with, found guilty of, or pleads guilty to the offence
  4. A member of immediate family of a person who as a result of an offence does, or is incapable unless they are charged with commission, found guilty or pleads guilty to the offence
