Members of minority ethnic groups are likely to be stopped and searched by police. Police can do this if they have reasonable suspicion of wrongdoing. Compared with white people, black people are seven times more likely to be stopped and searched and Asians are twice as likely, however mot many of these stop and searches result in arrest.
