POM-V - prescription only by vet
POM-VPS - precribed by vet, pharmacist or suitable person
NFA-VPS - prescription not required
AVM-GSL - authorised veterinary medicines (GSL)

A
can only be prescribed by vet under the cascade

A
- Name, address, tel. no., qualification, signature of prescriber, RCVS No.
- Name, address of Owner
- identification of species
- date
- name, dose, quantity, admin instructions
- any necessary warnings
- ‘Prescribed under cascade’ (if so)
- number of repeats
- ‘For animal treatment only’

A

- must be written on prescription

- keep record of POM-V, POM-VPS
- must be durable, permanent
- for at least 5 years
