  • nausea and vomiting may be present
  • horizontal nystagmus is usually present
  • no hearing loss or tinnitus

A
  • viral labyrinthitis
  • posterior circulation stroke: the HiNTs exam can be used to distinguish vestibular neuronitis from posterior circulation stroke
