A
Progressive cellulitis which invades the floor of the mouth and soft tissues of the neck

What is the most common cause?
A
Odontogenic infections (an infection that originates within a tooth or in the closely surrounding tissues) which spread into the submandibular space

Symptoms?
A
- neck swelling
- dysphagia
- fever

Why is this condition an emergency?
A
As it can lead to airway obstruction

Management?
A
- airway management
