Explain the present tense
The present tense expresses:
- action that is taking place at the moment of speaking
- a fact that is universally true
Explain the perfect tense
The perfect tense is used for action in the past which happended only once or twice (not a regular occurrence) and has been completed
Explain the imperfect tense
The imperfect tense is used for:
- Past action that was unfinished
- Habitual or repeated action
- Description in the past
Explain the conditional mood
The conditional mood means ‘should’ or more often ‘would’.
Explain the future tense
The future tense means ‘shall (do)’ or more often ‘will do’ or ‘will be (doing)’
