ventricular rhythms Flashcards
1
Q
What is the BPM for an Idoventricular rhythm?
A
20-40 bpm
2
Q
what is the BPM for Accelerated ventricular rhythm?
A
greater than 40 bpm
less than 100 bpm
3
Q
what is the BPM for ventricular tachycardia?
A
Faster than 100 bpm
4
Q
How is ventricular tachycardia identified?
A
- Monomorphic: one morphology (shape). All qrs look-alike coming from the same place in the ventricle
- P waves are not married to the QRS
- AV dissociation- means that the atria are under the control of a sinus node
5
Q
Describe fushion beats?
A
when ventricles are being depolarize by two dif impulses at the same time PVC
6
Q
Ventricular Flutter bpm
A
faster than 200 bpm
7
Q
Ventricular fibrillation
A
chaos in the ventricles. No coordinated ventricular contraction
8
Q
what does asystole mean?
A
when your heart’s electrical system fails entirely
(death)
