What is Arcole?
DOC immediately south of Soave that produces a wide range of styles based on Garganega and Merlot
What is Bagnoli?
Southestern Venetian DOC making a wide range of styles based on native and imported grapes
Describe Bardolino:
DOC based on Corvina situated along the banks of Lake Garda.
Includes a Classico zone. Superiore wines are DOCG.
Also makes Chiaretto and Novello styles which sounds pretty interesting…
What is Custoza?
AKA Bianco di Custoza
DOC on the south shores of Lake Garda. Produces white blends in tranquilo, spumante and passito styles
Describe Breganze:
DOC in central Veneto that produces predominantly varietal wines.
Of note are the spumante, torcolato and torcolato superiore wines made from Vespaiolo

What is Colli Berici?
Smaller DOC within Vicenza producing almost entirely varietal and sparkling wines.
Has a sub zone called Barbano that grows exclusively Tai Rosso
What is Colli Euganei?
Southeastern DOC just outside Venice making lots of styles and grapes
Describe Lessini Durello
DOC for Spumante and Spumante Riserva wines in Northwestern Veneto based on Durello
Lison-Pramaggiore
Large area for DOC production in that crosses between Veneto and Friuli-Venezia-Giulia
What is Lugana?
DOC in both Lombardia and Veneto on the south shore of Lake Garda that produces tranquilo, spumante and VT wines from Trebbiano di Lugana (syn or Trebbiano di Soave?)
What is Montello-Colli Asolani?
DOC for the production of still wines in Asolo.
Describe Piave:
Large DOC in Eastern Veneto producing dry and sweet wines from native and french varietals
What is Vicenza?
City in the center of Veneto with a DOC surrounding it of the same name making a wide range of local and international styles and grapes
What is Venezia?
Eastern Venetian DOC making rosso and sparkling wines.
Describe Prosecco DOC:
DOC covering all of Friuli-Venezia-Giulia and most of Veneto for Prosecco wines from a min 85% Glera.
Available in Tranquilo, Frizzante and Spumante versions. Frizzante wines with 2nd fermentation in bottle must be labelled ‘Rifermentazione in Bottiglia’
Wines not making the regulations must be labelled with ‘Glera’ rather than ‘Prosecco’
