Velocity enforce for Flashcards
The rate of which an object moves
Speed
Is speed and given direction
Velocity
The rate that velocity changes
Acceleration
Anything that changes the state of rest or motion
Force
Law of inertia
An object at rest will stay at rest unless a force is acted upon it; an object in motion will stay emotion unless a force is acted upon to stop it
Law of acceleration
the acceleration of an object depends on its mass and the force acting upon it. The greater the force the greater the acceleration. The more massive the object, the more force it takes to accelerate it. Additionally, if a constant force acts upon an object, the object will move with constant acceleration in the direction of the force.
Law of momentum
If no external force acts on a body it’s momentum remains the same and constant
