- B/c large and doesn’t tend to move

- Cephalic Vein
- Often the only vein to palpate in obese patients although is likely to move and difficult to locate

- Most likely to move of all and near brachial artery
- If in too deep, artery may be punctured

- Hard or cordlike
- Caused by disease, inflammation, chemotherapy or repeated venipuncture
