Q

What is the 4th stage of Hemostasis?

A
  • Fibrinolysis: Breakdown and removal of clot.
  • When tissue repair starts, plasim enzyme, breaks down fibrin in the clot
  • Fibrin degradation products (FDPs) amount is used to monitor rate of fibrinolysis.
