Q

What are systematic and random errors?

A
  • systematic
    • same throughout the experiment
    • e.g. faulty equipment
    • incorrect by same quantity
    • data precise but not accurate
  • random
    • do not carry out the procedure in exactly the same way each time
    • may read apparatus slight away
    • affect some results but do not all

Q

wHAT Are repeatable and reproducable results?

A
  • repeatable
    • replicate results in close agreement
  • reproduiceable
    • done by someone else, who follows the same proceudure using the same equpment, but at a different time and palce
