When do you use a histogram?

- used when the independant variable is numerical and the data are continuous

- range within each class

What are the rules for drawing a histogra,?
A
- use at least half grid provided
- draw in pencil
- x-axis represents the independant variable, and is continuous
- should be properly scaled and labelled with appropriate units
- blocks drawn should not touch
- area of eahc block is proportional to the size of the lcass
- blocks should be labelled
- putting class ranges
- or lowest number in each range on left side of each blox
- y-axis represents the number or frequency and shopuld be properly scaled with equal intervals
- should be labelled with appropriate units
