Serial dillution

How do you preppare a 10g 100cm-3 soln of glucose

• use balance and weigh 10g of glucose
• dfissolve the glucose in 50cm3 of warm water
• por the soln into a measuring cylinder or vlumeteric flask and add water to the 100cm3 level
  
  • use pipette toadd the last few cm3 of water
• pour into labelled beaker and stir thoroughly

How do you do a serial dillution of the glucose

• use graduated pipette or syringe to remove 1cm3 of the stock glucose soln and put into a test tube
• add 9cm3 of water and stir or invert the test tube
  
  • this is now a 1g 100cm-3
• keep doing this until you have a 0.0001g 100cm-3 solution
