Answer 1

Write the symbols of both elements.
Below the symbol of each element, write the valency number.
The valency is the group number converted into valency,
Group number: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8/0
Valency: 1 2 3 4 3 2 1 8/0
Once the valency numbers are written for each element, swap them over.
Divide the valency numbers.
Write the chemical formula making sure not to write the number ‘1’
