-depending on clinic may be cat specific.
-Some clinics will use same type for both dogs and cats
Feline FVRCP (distemper)
–Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, and panleukopenia -reconstitute
Feline Leukemia
–usually no reconstitution
Rabies
-Only vaccine required by law
-core vaccine

-recommended no matter where they live
-usually no cure
-strongly recommended across the country

What is heartworm?
-transmitted to cats & dogs thru mosquitoes
-can’t survive in humans
-stage 1 worms are injected while feeding on pet, grow and mature over months
-6 months is adult worm, only females worms will test positive and it will be here
-no cure just preventatives, but preventatives will kill stage 1 worms
-recommended year round in New England

How are tick borne diseases transmitted?
-Not every tick has Lyme but many do
-Tick has to eat then regurgitate to give Lyme or other diseases,
-be attached 24-48 hours most preventatives kill ticks within 24 hrs. lessening risk
