● “Minimum Control Indicated Airspeed - Ground”.
● Minimum speed at which directional control can be maintained with nose wheel rotated and mains still on ground.
● It is found with:
- takeoff power on remaining engine(s).
- most rearward C of G
- critical engine failed,
- flaps and trim in takeoff configuration
- only considers rudder for steering
● Larger rudder area/deflection = more control authority = lower V MCG
● Larger fin area also = lower V MCG
