What is it?
Where can u find them?
ectopic endometrial tissue outside the uterus.
- A lump of endometrial tissue outside the uterus is described as an endometrioma.
- if in in the ovaries are often called “chocolate cysts”.
- Adenomyosis refers to endometrial tissue within the myometrium (muscle layer) of the uterus.

The history of endometriosis, acute abdomen, and the pelvis filled with fluid all point towards a ruptured endometrioma

U will see. Powder brown spots affecting the pelvic peritoneum
CA-125?
A speculum: deposits in the vagina?
A bimanual examination (also known as a pelvic examination) normal, fixed retroverted uterus w/ tenderness in posterior fornix!
Only consider pelvic MRI to assess the extent of deep endometriosis involving the bowel, bladder or ureter.

Endometrial Hyperplasia
causes
results when the endometrium is exposed to high levels of estrogen for a prolonged time.
This is also accompanied by low levels of progesterone, which normally has an opposing effect to estrogen.

Depends if its atypia or non atypical
- Atypical >> bc. High risk of cancer, treated like ECancer
- non atypical >> progesterone MIRENA FIRST LINE
