  1. Chlamydia trachomatis (most common)
  2. Neisseria gonorrhoeae –> more severe PID
  3. Mycoplasma genitalium
  4. Mycoplasma hominis

  1. Pelvic or lower abdominal pain
  2. Abnormal vaginal discharge
  3. Abnormal bleeding (intermenstrual or postcoital)
  4. dyspareunia
  5. Fever
  6. Dysuria

Exam:

  1. Pelvic tenderness
  2. Cervical motion tenderness (cervical excitation)
  3. Inflamed cervix (cervicitis)
  4. Purulent discharge
