What are some scenarios in which crosstabs are useful?
Drilling down from a summary visualization, checking data for accuracy, setting up filters, aggregation
If you want a quick view of your data without going to the full data source view, where can you find that?
The table icon next to the Dimensions heading
Where are the measures shown in the crosstab listed on the Marks card?
Text/Labels
What will a crosstab look like if Measure Names is under Columns? Rows?
Columns - each measure will be a single column with a heading. Rows - each measure will be listed with a separate row next to each dimension
How do you add/remove Totals from your view?
Click Analysis > Totals, or add them from the Analytics pane on the left
How do you change aggregation types in a crosstab?
Click on the measure in the marks card
How do you change Tableau’s aggregation method from aggregating the full data (weighted) to aggregating the displayed numbers? What type of data source is this necessary for?
Analysis > Totals > Total All Using. This is necessary for cubes/multi-dimensional data sources
How do you change the labels for totals and subtotals?
In the left Format pane, under Headers
