What is a dashboard?
A consolidated view that includes multiple individual views
Dashboards are build for what three functions/reasons?
Monitor, Explore, Inform
How can you see what your dashboard would look like on different devices?
Select Device Preview on the left of the dashboard
Each item on a dashboard can use one of what two types of layouts?
Tiled or Floating
How are tiled objects arranged?
A single-layer grid where the objects snap into place as they are moved
How are floating objects arranged?
They can be freely moved on the dashboard and layered
Where can you see a hierarchical list of all the objects in your dashboard and whether they are tiled or floating?
The Layout tab on the left of your dashboard
How do you add a view into a dashboard?
Drag it in from the list in the Dashboard tab on the left
If you change an individual worksheet, does it update in any dashboards or stay static?
It updates
What is one way to make sure your filters are in a place that makes sense?
Change them to floating and place them layered on top of the view that they filter, without covering any data
How do you use a data legend to highlight items?
On the dropdown of a legend, select Highlight Selected Items, so that when you click on an item in the legend, that item will stand out from the rest of the view
How do you use a view as a filter for other views on a dashboard?
Click the Use as Filter icon on the top right of the outline of the view on the dashboard
How do you use the same filter to filter multiple views?
In the dropdown on the filter either on the individual worksheet or in the dashboard, select “Apply to Worksheets”
How do you hide and unhide sheets?
Right click on the individual sheet, or on a dashboard and select Hide Sheet or Hide All Sheets, respectively
