Q

Describe Texas’s stance on abortion

A
  • Texas is largely controlled by Republicans and is largely anti-abortion.
  • Texas hasn’t been able to close abortion clinics in the state outright and has been trying to do so in indirect laws such as forcing doctors at these clinics to have admitting privileges at nearby hospital and have large hallways.
  • This has reduced the number of abortion clinics in Texas from 41 to 7 recently.
