pathophysiology
type 1 hypersenstivity reaction
Ig-g binds»Ig -E activate mast cell degranulation» histamine release which lead to increased capillary permeability leading to
transient leakage of fluid into the surrounding tissue
endogenous causes
*infection during seroconversion
Viral BacterialMycoplasma Intestinal parasites
Connective tissue disorders/cancer lymphoma/coeliac disease
Hypereosinophilic syndrome/hyperthyroidism
ordinary vs idiopathic urticaris regarding histamine presence

Angioedema most commonly occurs at junctions

allergosorbent tests (RAST)
Tx
considered 1st line
they are safe in pregnency
anti-histamines {citrizine ,loratadine }
maximum dose 4 times daily
Tx in severe cases
ciclosporin ,omalizumab
