Process for abnormal results
A
Note the value of the abnormal result and record on documentation
Inform the RN/supervisor of the result
May contain the following which could indicate diseases/issues:
Blood- during menstruation, could be present due to UTI, trauma or disease of the bladder or kidneys
Glucose- diabetic or at times during pregnancy
Protein- could indicate kidney disease
