A
Gln removes ammonia and exports to liver; Gln converted to Glu in liver, freeing NH4+ which goes to urea cycle

A
In muscle, alpha KG takes up NH3 to form Glu; Glu transaminated by ALT to Ala; Ala transported to liver, which undergoes transamination by ALT to form pyruvate and Glu (Ala donates NH3)
