What are the muscles that make up the superficial compartment of the forearm?
Flexor carpi ulnaris, flexor carpi radialis, palmaris longus, pronator teres
What muscles makes up the intermediate compartment of the forearm?
Flexor digitorum superficialis
What muscles make up the deep compartment of the forearm?
Flexor pollicis longus, flexor digitorum profundus and pronator quadratus
Which nerves supply the anterior forearm?
Median supplies all except medial half of flexor digitorum profundus and flexor carpi ulnaris
What is the attachment point of the superficial and intermediate compartments, and what are the exceptions?
Medial epicondyle of the humerus, except for flexor carpi ulnaris which has an attachment point at the olecrannon of the ulnar and one head of flexor digitorum superficialis which attaches to the radius
Which forearm muscles are supplied by the anterior interosseous nerve?
Lateral half of flexor digiotrum profundus, flexor pollicis longus, pronatory quadratus
What are the muscles in the thenar eminence?
Abductor pollicis brevis, Opponens pollicis, flexor pollicis brevis
What are the muscles of the hypothenar eminence?
Abductor digiti minimi, opponens digiti minimi, flexor digiti minimi brevis
What carpal bones makes up the proximal row?
Scaphoid, lunate, triquetrum and pisiform
What carpal bones make up the distal row?
Trapezium, trapezoid, capitate and hamate
What are the boundaries of the quadrangular space and what does it transmit?
Surgical neck of humerus (laterally)
Teres minor (superiorly)
Teres Major (inferiorly)
Triceps (medially)
Contains - axillary nerve and posterior circumflex humeral artery and vein
