Left lumbar (left paraaortic) lymph nodes, Right lumbar (right paraaortic) lymph nodes
What are the three types of mesenteric (preaortic) lymph nodes?
Celiac lymph nodes, Superior mesenteric lymph nodes, Inferior mesenteric lymph nodes
What do the lumbar lymph nodes collect lymph from?
Organs of the posterior abdominal wall, Organs and walls of the pelvis, Lower limbs
What do the lumbar lymph nodes give rise to?

Where do the lumbar lymph trunks fuse, and what do they form?
They fuse to form the cisterna chyli at the level of L1–L2.
What do mesenteric lymph nodes collect lymph from?
Gastrointestinal (GI) organs.
What is the pathway of lymph from the mesenteric nodes?
Lymph from the mesenteric nodes forms an unpaired intestinal lymph trunk, which opens into the cisterna chyli.
Into which lymph nodes do the suprarenal glands, kidneys, and abdominal part of the ureters drain?
