A

God told Jonah to go to Nineveh and preach there because the people were wicked, but Jonah decided to run away. He went on a boat to Tarshish, away from Nineveh, but God sent a huge storm. Jonah knew the storm was from God, so he told the sailors to throw him overboard. They did, the storm stopped, and the sailors praised God. God sent a big fish to swallow Jonah, and Jonah remained in the fish for three days and three nights, praying to God.
