1. What is God like?

Answer 1

He is a triune, close to His creation, all-knowing, all-powerful, all-good, and love. A God of relationship.

2. What is sin?

Answer 2

Sin is missing the mark. Sin is falling short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23. Sin will carry you to places you don’t want to go and give you experiences you don’t want to have.

3. Why is there sin in the world?

Answer 3

The Fall of Adam and Eve in Genesis 3. When they fell, they fell completely in their minds, bodies, and spirits. We are fallen creatures who try to make ourselves feel better, often in sinful ways. The world is upside down.

4. What is the purpose of the 10 Commandments?

Answer 4

The purpose is to show that we need a savior. Exodus 20.

5. Why do people need a Savior?

Answer 5

We can’t save ourselves. Somebody had to be punished for our sins. By faith we believe that Jesus paid the penalty for our sins by substituting Himself for us. We need to be forgiven but also changed from the Fall.
